“Let your tongue speak what your heart thinks” Davy Crockett
During a campaign rally on Oct 30th at the Pasadena City College for California Democratic gubernatorial candidate Phil Angelides, the infamous Vietnam Swift Boat Veteran, John F. Kerry, insulted Americans serving in the U.S. Military by stating, “You know, education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don”t, you get stuck in Iraq.”
After overwhelming outraged expressed by conservatives Kerry hastily arranged a news conference in Seattle and said: “I apologize to no one for my criticism of the president and of his broken policy.” Then assuming the rest of the nation is as gullible as his liberal minions he claimed the comment in question was “a botched joke about the president and the president”s people, not about the troops … and they know that”s what I was talking about.”
Excuse me, but I don’t get it? Can someone explain to me what the joke was? Can any liberal explain the punch line? Only a fool would believe what Kerry said was a joke!
When this balloon did not fly his liberal puppet masters convinced him this might hurt democrat chances to regain control of the Congress, the American public was subjected to this tortured non-apology that was cowardly printed on his web-site, “I sincerely regret that my words were misinterpreted to wrongly imply anything negative about those in uniform” He continued with this gem, “the Republican hate machine to use Democratic candidates as their proxies in their distorted spin war in which once again they’re willing to exploit brave American troops.”
Kerry did not apologize for the words he actually spoke he just regrets the “misinterpretation” of his words. Now any one with a semblance of intelligence would know Kerry was expressing what he and a majority of liberals believe. Kerry and liberals have impugned the U.S. Military over and over. Yes, Kerry we do know what you were talking about! Remember any of these examples?
As far back as 1972, John Kerry considered a volunteer army “greater anathema” and wrote, “I am convinced a volunteer army would be an army of the poor and the black and the brown. We must not repeat the travesty of the inequities present during Vietnam. I also fear having a professional army that views the perpetuation of war crimes as simply ”doing its job”.
Let’s not forget Kerry accusing American soldiers on atrocities not only in Vietnam but in Iraq when he said, “that young American soldiers need to be going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children”, you know, women, breaking sort of the customs of the — of — of — of — historical customs, religious customs, whether you like it or not.
Or, Ramsey Clark, Sen. John Kerry, Sen. Dick Durbin and Sen. Ted Kennedy said that our running of Abu Ghraib prison was no different than a change of management. Most outrageous was Sen. Dick Durbin on the floor of the Senate comparing U.S. Military interrogators and personnel in uniform to Pol Pot’s thugs, Soviet gulag operators, and Nazi soldiers. Then Rep. John Murtha accused Americans of murder in Haditha based on allegations that lacked any credible evidence.
Let’s be intellectually honest here. Notice the common theme? This was not a botched joke by John Kerry but a reiteration of what liberals believe that the American Military is nothing more than uneducated boobs who commit horrendous atrocities at the behest of the war-mongering right wing republicans.
