Recently Imad Mugniyah, a senior Hezbollah terrorist, was killed in a car bomb explosion in Damascus, Syria. Thomas Joscelyn gave an excellent expose supporting the idea that it was a fitting death for the man who is responsible for killing hundreds, maybe thousands, in the same manner. Whoever eliminated Mugniyah understands the need to kill the enemy.
Mugniyah had an extensive history of terrorism against the US, other Western nations, as well as perceived Muslim enemies. He was identified as a major player in such terrorist attacks as the bombings of the U.S. embassy and U.S. Marine barracks in Beirut in 1983 and many hijackings and kidnappings throughout the 1980s and early 1990s.
Intelligence agencies have evidence that Mugniyah facilitated the travel of one of the al-Qaeda operatives that was responsible for the Egyptian embassy bombing in Islamabad, Pakistan, on Nov. 19, 1995. He is suspected of involvement in the bombing of the Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia on Jun. 25, 1996 and the embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania on Aug. 7, 1998. Intelligence agents reported the bombings were directly modeled on Mugniyah’s earlier attacks.
Imad Mugniyah was not only a senior leader of Hezbollah and often allied with al-Qaeda, he was closely associated with and funded by the Assad family in Syria and the Iranian mullahs. He was in a command position in the growing terrorist organization. Hezbollah, a Lebanese-based Shiia terrorist organization, commands a formidable terrorist army and heavily funded by the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). The IRGC was providing Hezbollah a $100 million a year, then increased the funding to $400 million, and recently to one-billion U.S. dollars a year.
Middle Eastern terrorism experts explain this is a major reason why Hezbollah was able to prosecute the fight against the Israeli Army in the summer of 2006; why dramatic car-bombing assassinations continue unabated in Lebanon; why the Lebanese parliament is unable to elect a president; why the legitimate army and police have no jurisdiction over Hezbollah-controlled “security zones” and why Hezbollah is expanding through the development of terror cells throughout the Middle East, Europe, S/E Asia and America.
Tom Harb, secretary general of Lebanon’s pro-democracy World Council of the Cedars Revolution, says “The influence of the Iranian money is simply too powerful – This is enabling Hezbollah to become the Taliban of Lebanon.”
Yet, the Hate America First presidential candidates Senators Barak Obama and Hillary Clinton arrogantly believe they can “reach out” and negotiate with these monsters. Their belief that these terrorist will be impressed with their good intentions, their common belief that conservative America is the root of all evil and their desire to “get along” is delusional. Islamic terrorists refer to these liberal imbeciles as “useful idiots.” The term fits. Think about it. Jimmy Carter gave us the terrorist state of Iran. Bill Clinton gave us 3000 dead on 9-11. The thought of the harm Obama or Clinton would bestow on America is frightening.
