It seems repetitive but the topic of the absolute lunacy demonstrated by liberals keeps resurfacing. They do not realize that we are involved in a fight for our very survival and must be victorious to ensure a quality life for posterity. One has to wonder in what fantasy world these mental midgets live.
A pragmatic analysis would lead anyone with the ability for critical thought to conclude we need to support a strategy for victory, not defeat. Consider the defeat we suffered in the Vietnam experience.
After the war Ho Chi Min admitted they were defeated in the 1968 Tet Offensive but did not surrender due to the anti-war movement in the U.S. and the protests were a major source of moral support. On 08/03/95 former NVA Col. Bui Tin told the Wall Street Journal the American peace movement was essential to their victory and visits to Hanoi by people like Jane Fonda and Ramsey Clark gave them confidence that they should hold on in the face of battlefield reverses.
Now compare these historical events with the present day War on Terrorism.
Islamic terrorist state the US is decadent, weak, and a paper-tiger unwilling to sustain a long-term war. This lack of resolve is based in part on the US defeat in Vietnam.
Consider some quotes by Jihadist enemy.
“We have seen the decline of the American government and the weakness of the American soldier who is unprepared to fight long wars. This was proven in Beirut when the Marines fled, was also repeated in Somalia.” Osama Bin Laden, May 1998
“We can conclude that America is a superpower, with enormous military strength and vast economic power, but that all this is built on foundations of straw. So it is possible to target those foundations and focus on their weakest points, the whole edifice will totter and sway” Osama Bin Laden, Feb. 2003
“American people, your government is leading you to a new losing war, your government was defeated in Vietnam and fled scared from Lebanon. It fled from Somalia and received a slap in Aden.” Ayman al-Zawahiri, Oct. 2001
“Nobody can deny that if Israel is going to leave the Gaza Strip and West Bank, that was because of the intifada. It was not because of negotiations, or the goodwill of Israel, or the Americans or Europeans.” Mahmoud al-Zahar, Hamas”s senior leader in Gaza, April 2005
Compare the committed language of the Islamic terrorist to a few examples of liberal rhetoric.
In Sep. 2002, Rep. J. McDermott called Pres. Bush a liar and added that Hussein”s regime was worthy of American trust.
Sen. Durbin compared US interrogators and military personnel in uniform to Pol Pot”s thugs, Soviet gulag operators, and Nazi soldiers while Sen. J. Kerry, Durbin, Kennedy and R. Clark claimed the way the U.S. ran Abu Ghraib prison was no different than Saddam Hussein and was basically a change of management.
On 11/16/05 former Pres. Clinton told Arab students at the American University of Dubai, UAE that the US made a “big mistake” when it invaded Iraq and praised Saddam”s underlings as mostly “good” and “decent” people who were making the best out of a very bad situation.
In Dec. 2005, Sen. J. Kerry alleged that young American soldiers were going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids, children and women and breaking the historical and religious customs.
In Dec. 2005, DNC Chairman Howard Dean declared that the “idea that we”re going to win the war in Iraq is an idea which is just plain wrong.”
On 02/12/06 former VP Gore told a Saudi audience at the Jiddah Economic Forum that the U.S. committed “terrible atrocities” against Arabs after the 9/11 attacks and had been “indiscriminately rounded up” and detained in “unforgivable conditions.”
The Islamic terrorists believe America is incapable of fighting a long war and liberals publicly support of this view.
On 03/18/06 Sen. Feinstein said the US is tiring of the war and informed Iraq to quickly end the conflict.
On 03/26/06 Sen. Levin repeated the US is tiring of the war, demanded that Iraq promptly form a government, end the conflict or the US would pull out.
This week Sen. J. Kerry said that if Iraq did not form a government by May 15th the US should withdraw its troops immediately.
The essence of liberal wisdom was expressed by San Francisco Supervisor Gerado Sandoval on 04/07/06 when he said the US does not need a military and police and fire would defend against terrorist attacks. The US should spend 90% of the military budget exporting American values to poor Muslim nations. If we sent doctors, built houses and McDonalds instead sending guns, they would like us and not attack us. Talk about moronic lunacy.
Like with the Vietnam War, politicians and liberal celebrities travel to the Middle East to express anti-American and anti-war rhetoric or express defeatist rhetoric at home. Notice the similarity in liberal and terrorist rhetoric? So, who do you believe is more committed to US victory, Liberals or Islamic Terrorist?
