Was Bush Right?

Crime, Education, Politics, Terrorism, Violence

In another example of the wide adoption of the Bush security and military agenda, the White House –President Obama- went against its own justice department and declared that the Guantanamo detainees should be tried by military courts and not civilian courts on American soil.

After renewing the Patriot act as it was, such a flip-flopping coming from the Commander in chief and his associates shows us that there are no fuzzy woozy solution to deal with terrorists and other illegal enemies of the country that “fight” with no respect of the Geneva Convention and its clearly defined international rules of war.

It seems like our second wartime president has finally understood that the hard stance of the Bush-Cheney administration was better suited to manage the wars and the foes of America.

He ran the campaign of an immature idealistic teenager reaching for other utopians. Now he has matured with a real job and the great results of the Bush-era surge in Iraq made him realize that only victory and toughness will save us…and maybe his political future.

We are all expecting pimply teenagers and young adults to be idealistic and open armed, full of love and compassion, laziness and stupidity, drugs sex and rap…until they have to work and pay for their ways!

We bear with it because we know that fortunately, most of them will naturally become mature contributing adults, often with their own family to support and care for. Eventually, they will wake up to the realities of life and shake out their foo foo dreams, shed their pink baby skin.

Welcome to the club Mister President! It took a little longer for you but you are almost there and fast greying to real responsibilities.

You guys should be so proud!

Can the liberal dems ever get over Bush? I’ve never seen such a group of blamers and excuse makers. Well, I guess that’s why all of us who are successful have to support you LAZY AND UNWILLING sponging off governmnent.

It is interesting how the people here stating that POTUS has declared defeat and how he’s retreating seem to have nothing to say about the fact that we have rounded up or killed more al qaeda and taliban leaders in the pas year than the previous 5.
that we are finally turning the tide in Afghanistan (to which I’m about to be deployed) and are in the process of creating breathing space for peace.
that this administration has broadened the fronts against al qaeda to countries in which it has been left unharmed until now.
All of you armchair generals in here make me sick. Loose a fellow soldier or a single drop of blood for this great country and maybe than you will have a little more respect for POTUS. until than go back to your caves and let US defend our country

Let’s do this thing. Bin Laden’s head on a platter and let’s wrap it up. Glad to see Obama has finally got legit support from Pakistan and making much more progress than what Bush did. All Bush cared about was lies about Iraq.

Eric, I would like to meet with you for about five minutes so I can kick your sorry republicans ass. You don’t have the right to talk about Americans in that manner, or the President Obama, bush is the one that needed to be impeach for all the lies he told. You stupid republicans are as crooked as hell.

Jerry Saxz – yeah, what a genius…now, if your buddy could only find that birth certificate…and stop hiring Chicago thugs for White House positions…or stop siding with liberal anti-Americans…maybe we could get a strong outlook in the war against terror.

Eric, try to imagine a group of people actually working at the Pentagon (President Obama and his security team) and not at a ranch in Texas making up stories, oops lies trying to convince the America people into a fake war! Be patient and allow the President and his team to get us out of this mess of the past administration.

You know nothing better than a little propaganda, to get all Americans fired up on how great we are as Nation doing right in an evil world, fan those flames of patriotism with a good old war flick so as to justify sending some more of our best young men off to die for nothing. Meanwhile the liberal left continues its destructive onslaught to our sovereign Nation and freedoms while we sleep or watch Oprah….’

I honestly don’t get it, first you gave a perfect description of the Bush security and military agenda, then you try to put the blame on the left?

Delusional. But at least your post wasn’t as depictable as some of your previous ones, or Torrez’s.

OH Man, the surrender team has gathered. Why else do you think OBAMA wanted to be President. Not once has he attended a prayer service or any Church since he has taken office. He did kiss an Islamic’s Hand. But would not bow to the Queen of England embarassing us Americans with our greatest allie. Nor has he saluted when the National Anthem is played. But he has put his feet up on a historic desk in the Oval Office showing his lack of respect to all the Presidents who set there before him. He wouldn’t make a pimple on any of them rears. This man wishes the destruction of America as we know it. He and his big hipped wife are slowly but surely destroying the foundation this country was made on. IMPEACH NOW.

Please President Obama and staff, lets get moving on all of this. I am on your side, knowing time makes things right, But the GOP and their supporters are making alot of noise.

Believe me I live in Austin, TX and hear all about how you President Oboma and Secretary of State Clinton are doing nothing.

Just a comment from a fellow Democrat.

This is an absolutely fascinating story ….. http://www.aolnews.com/crime/article/police-release-photos-taken-by-serial-killer-rodney-alcala/19395704

If according to reports, law enforcement had access to the locker contents in 1979 (consisting of these photos, earrings and other trophies) why is this only now being disseminated to the public? Rodney has just had his third trial (two appeals) and is awaiting sentencing phase …. Why were these not disclosed earlier? Why this timing now? These 2000+ photos all predate 1979 …. Toddlers, teens, young people….various appetites this serial killer possessed ….
