Obama: Stupid Is As Stupid Does

Education, Politics, Terrorism, Violence

A rival’s clarity is a liability because he had nothing to say… British statesman Arthur Balfour

During Obama’s infomercial for government-run health care on July 22nd the alleged smartest-president-ever once again illustrated how his arrogance is out matched by his incompetence. In weighing in on a local incident the president-who-would-be-king demonstrated to the American people that he is completely clueless on the function of the presidency. But then what would you expect from a community organizer with no managerial or executive experience?

Obama goes on national TV and claims the Cambridge Police Department and Sgt. Crowley “acted stupidly” for arresting his racist friend, Harvard professor Henry Gates, for accosting the police officer with racial slurs and causing a disturbance in front of his house. So who acted “stupidly” here? Professor Gates for acting like a fool or Obama for acknowledging that he “did not know all the facts” when defending his racist friend “Skip” Gates by claiming the “police” acted “stupidly”?

How smart was it for Obama to have accumulated seventeen Cambridge parking tickets while attending Harvard Law School in the late 1980’s and not paying them until the beginning of his presidential campaign in 2007? Was it smart for team Obama to imply the Cambridge Police were racially biased because they contributed to McCain’s campaign when “Skippy” Gates is a professor of Black Studies (black racism) and contributed $4600 to Obama? Also, it was not a brilliant comment after his A.G. Eric Holder’s racist announcement that the United States was a nation of cowards on matters of race.

Acting stupidly is not new for the Marxist messiah and his team. Let’s chronicle a short list of their “stupid moments”. After choosing the dimwitted gaff machine Joe Biden for VP, he and team Obama nominate “Tax Cheats” Timothy Geithner, Tom Daschle, Nancy Killefer, Ron Kirk and Hilda Solis and investigation plagued Bill Richardson for cabinet positions.

Giving the British PM Gordon Brown twenty-five DVD’s that was not compatible with European media players and bowing to the Saudi king was not a shining moment. When Obama announced on Saudi TV that he wanted to return to the same respect and partnership that America had with the Muslim world raises questions about his illusionary world view as this golden age was actually plagued with turmoil. Obama delivered a Persian New Year video message to Iran announcing a new beginning in relations as a crowd chanted “Death to America” and the Ayatollah Khamenei questioned who was pulling his strings. It’s no wonder as Obama first announced that Iran is not a threat to the US then admitted it is, then spoke of “a world without nuclear weapons” as North Korea test fired a ballistic missile towards the U.S.

The eloquent messiah is actually an incoherent rambling-stuttering-stammering orator without the teleprompter. He and team Obama manages one stupid comment after another. Like when Obama declared that Caterpillar was going to start hiring people after his stimulus bill was passed and was then refuted by CEO Jim Owen who said they were going to have more lay offs. Obama explained he will make alternative energy sources more competitive by raising the cost of carbon-based energy until it too expensive. In pushing his nationalized health care Obama accused doctors of removing “kids” tonsils for the “bottom line.” An outright lie and stupid comment!

After promising transparency team Obama terminated “whistle blowers” AmeriCorps’ Inspector General Gerald Walpin and Amtrak Inspector General Fred Weiderhol who were investigating corruption and waste. Obama announced they would go line by line through the federal budget in order to eliminate wasteful and ineffective programs, which he is not allowed to do, and then gave the American taxpayer a $1.8 trillion dollar deficit while the economic wizard Biden announced, “we have to go spend money to keep from going bankrupt.

Unlike the astute and shrewd organizer of the 1930’s, Obama runs the White House like “Romper Room” while he and his “Not Ready for Sesame Street” players make acting stupidly an art form. Yet, Obama has the audacity to accuse the Cambridge police of acting stupidly and the liberal lap dog media, that would have excoriated President Bush, continues to give their messiah a pass on all his stupid moments. Voters aren’t as Obama’s approval rating by likely voters has dropped to 48%. It appears the American public is starting to take notice as the Hitler-like adulation for the new savior is starting to wane. To steal a line from Mr. Gump, “stupid is as stupid does”.

A rival’s clarity is a liability because he had nothing to say… British statesman Arthur Balfour

Obama goes young(er) with new judge picks

President Barack Obama is opting for some relative youth when it comes to his most recent nominees to the federal bench.

On Friday, Obama nominated Abdul Kallon, 40, of Birmingham, Ala., and Jacqueline Nguyen, 44, of Los Angeles, Calif., to district court judgeships. The two lawyers are the youngest of the 12 judicial nominees Obama has put forward since taking office.

Could the White House be responding to a New Republic article last month complaining that his judicial nominees were too old? The article focused on his first five appeals court nominees, whose average age is 55. The authors, two law professors, did not address district court judgeships, but it’s interesting to note that several well-known appellate court judges were younger at the time of their nominations even than Kallon and Nguyen.

Since federal judges have life tenure, younger judges tend to have more time to make their mark — and more time to move up to appeals and Supreme Court slots.
The recent choices also help advance the White House’s goals of a racially and ethnically diverse bench. Nguyen would be the first Vietnamese-American federal judge. Kallon is black.

Don’t tell the birthers, but both Nguyen and Kallon were born outside the U.S.! Nguyen was born in Dalat, Vietnam, and fled with her family in the evacuation of Saigon. (She tells the story here.) Kallon was born in Freetown, Sierra Leone.

America’s Racial Time Bomb Is Ticking
    July 30, 2009 | From theTrumpet.com
Barack Obama was supposed to defuse racial tension in America. Sadly, he is making it worse.

As a presidential candidate, Barack Obama sold himself as the antidote to America’s enduring racial infirmities.

Remember his major speech on race in March 2008? It was more impressive than Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream,” swooned msnbc’s Chris Matthews—the “best speech ever given on race in this country.” cbs co-host Maggie Rodriguez hailed it as a “defining cultural moment in America.” Good Morning America host Robin Roberts praised it as not just good for Obama’s campaign, but also for the “future of the country.”

Many believed Mr. Obama’s election heralded a new era of post-racial political and societal progress. Identity politics would begin to fade into irrelevance, America’s festering race wounds would start to heal. America, united under its first black president, would now explore new and better frontiers in race relations.

    They were wrong.

Rather than soothe old wounds and diffuse racial tensions by avoiding race-based politics, Barack Obama has knowingly, perhaps intentionally, inflamed existing race wounds by “consistently emphasiz[ing] racial identity to further his own advantage,” noted Victor Davis Hanson this week. Instead of leading America out of its “racial morass,” the president so far has “only pushed us far deeper into it” (emphasis mine throughout).

By now you’re probably familiar with the president’s provocative remarks during his nationally televised address last week. Mr. Obama is an intelligent man, and is familiar with how combustible the race issue is, particularly when oxidized by the mainstream media. Mr. Obama knew he was handed a loaded gun when he was asked to comment on the July 16 arrest of Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates Jr., who is black, by James Crowley, a white sergeant in the Cambridge Police Department. (See here and here for the details of this story.)

The president was given a choice: Disarm the loaded question (a simple statement saying he couldn’t comment because he did not know the details would have sufficed)—or pull the trigger and incite what he knew would become a national debate on race.

    Mr. Obama chose the latter.

After admitting that he was not there and did not know all the facts, the president confidently stated on live television that the Cambridge Police Department had “acted stupidly” in arresting his friend, Professor Gates. The president then segued into a short sermon on the problem of racial profiling that still exists in America: “[W]hat I think we know separate and apart from this incident is that there is a long history in this country of African Americans and Latinos being stopped by law enforcement disproportionately. And that’s just a fact.”

For a man so educated in and sensitive to the race issue in America—not to mention a post-racial president saddled with the unenviable responsibility of solving racial tension—Mr. Obama showed a remarkable absence of wisdom by weighing in on this issue in this manner. This was a racially charged situation from its inception on the doorsteps of Mr. Gates’s home, and the president premeditatedly transformed it into a national debate on race.

    Why?

With the Gates story still front-page news, Americans got another glimpse at Mr. Obama’s tendency for race-based politics Tuesday, when the Senate Judiciary Committee approved the president’s nomination of Judge Sonia Sotomayor to the U.S. Supreme Court. Handpicked by Mr. Obama, Ms. Sotomayor is renowned for the race-based underpinnings of her moral and judicial thinking, particularly her infamous racially charged remark: “I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life.”

Mr. Obama did not merely select a judge with an undeniable tendency for making decisions based on racial identity (as witnessed by her ruling in the Ricci v. DeStefano case, which was overturned last month by the U.S. Supreme Court). His relative silence on the issue and unwillingness to condemn Ms. Sotomayor’s racially inflammatory remarks indicates that the president more than likely agrees with the judge.

Then there’s Eric Holder, President Obama’s feisty attorney general. In a speech in February commemorating Black History Month, Mr. Holder roasted the American people as a “nation of cowards” for not regularly discussing and confronting America’s racial problems. As the controversy flared, conservatives criticized Mr. Holder’s address to Justice Department employees for being abrasive and provocative, actually representing a partial explanation for an unwillingness to discuss race.

In an effort to soothe the controversy caused by the man he appointed, Mr. Obama told the New York Times that had he been advising the attorney general, “we would have used different language.” During the interview, the Times reported, “the president said that despite Mr. Holder’s choice of words, he had a point.”

Many elected Barack Obama to be a racial healer. But in the past six months alone, at least three major instances have arisen where Mr. Obama had the choice to either stoke or douse what were racially charged issues. In each instance, the president chose to allow the issue to flare into a racial firestorm.

The case is strong that Barack Obama is making America’s racial infirmities worse.

The Trumpet has long been skeptical of Mr. Obama’s ability to solve, or even soothe, America’s race issues. In July last year, as the controversy over Mr. Obama’s twenty-year relationship with the rabidly racist preacher Jeremiah Wright billowed, Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry wrote: “The race card is going to be played often for political gain! And it is going to cost America dearly. This is not a small problem. We must understand where the race issue is leading us. The end result is going to be worse than anything you imagine.”

Elsewhere, Mr. Flurry wrote that America’s racial tension is a ticking time bomb.

Some of our skepticism about President Obama as a racial healer comes from his personal position and motivation. But most of it stems from an understanding of human nature. Racial strife is endemic to history, long before the Obama presidency—or America—existed. This deadly infirmity has plagued the human race since before the days of Noah. In fact, as Herbert Armstrong explained in Mystery of the Ages, “the chief cause of the violence and chaos of world conditions [prior to the Flood], was racial hatreds, interracial marriages, and racial violence caused by man’s efforts toward integration and amalgamation of races, contrary to God’s laws.”

We need to consider this history. It informs us where racial tension ends!

No human has, nor ever will, solve the enduring problem of racial tension and hatred. Like many of man’s solutions to his problems, Mr. Obama’s antidotes will only exacerbate the problems. God alone can heal America’s deep racial wounds. How will He do this? By removing human nature and replacing it with the loving nature of God, imparted by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thankfully, this time is bearing down upon us rapidly.

Until then, America’s racial time bomb will continue to tick toward explosion!

Enigma… according to Obama America is not a Christian nation - America is a Muslim nation. Hmmm a liberal tally has less than 2% of the population as Muslim. So if we were to continue the Stupid Obama logic less than 8% of the population is said to be homosexual… does that mean America is a homosexual nation?

Birthers are not concerned with the birthplace of judges as long as they are American citizens… they only question whether or not the Marxist messiah meets the Constitutional requirements of natural born citizen. And obama could put that question to rest very easy - releasing his birth certificate. If he was born in Hawaii he would shut the birthers up… why doesn’t he is the question.

On that note… University of Huston Professor Gerald Horne, a contributing editor of the Communist Party journal Political Affairs - not exactly a conservative mouth piece - described the Davis-obama relationship like this… “Davis “befriended” a “Euro-American family” that had “migrated to Honolulu from Kansas and a young woman from this family eventually had a child with a young student from Kenya East Africa who goes by the name of Barack Obama, who retracing the steps of Davis eventually decamped to Chicago.” Notice obama is identified as a young student from Kenya… that and his refusal to release the document should raise at least a question in the minds of at least the most rudimentary intellect.

Notice this charleton refuses to release school records, papers and other personal history… why?

Personally - I do not believe he meets the criteria for president and is foreign born. I also believe it really doesn’t matter now because to removed from office he has to be impeached by the House and tried by the Senate - and with both in firm control of liberal Democrat zealots and brain dead lap dogs - I don’t see that happening. :o

Again in my local paper, “renown” black columnists from the East coast make a stand for Gates….at any cost!
Today’s piece wants to show how racist the police is in Cambridge with three cases dating all the way to 2004! Gates, of course, a guy breaking in his house that has been reported to and naturally challenged by the cops, the kid caught cutting through the locks of his bike -had no ID to prove he owned the bike and , how dare they, the cops had to take him around and find people to identify him, and another black guy for whatever other suspicious reason. Five years and the above cases make the cops racists!
I got pulled over twice and my wife got two tickets in four years….and we were doing things that looked and were illegal to the average cop, like speeding, parking on the wrong spot, driving alone in HOV lane…etc…can I make the case that local cops are racists too, against white peole! lol

  11. Dwayne Mason  •  Aug 10, 2009 @6:00 pm

George, President Obama could have really made a stance on the issues of race relations and police. He could have taken a position that would have created debate that advances all sides. He could have used examples that I have covered for years now.

But he did none of the above. He instead jumped into a situation, stomping all over local authorities, with misinformation and an agenda that honestly was more fixated on defending his friend than addressing race relations.

  12. Martha  •  Aug 10, 2009 @6:01 pm

BS. Think about it, George/Enigma. If President Obama really wanted to do something about race relations there have been no lack of opportunities. He could have noted that on the first day of this year 3 Black men were all shot, without provocation or cause, by police. 2 were killed, one seriously injured. Their names are Oscar Grant, Adolph Grimes, and Robbie Tolan. He could have addressed how Oakland BART officers have lied in court in the face of video that proves guilt. But you all would never know about this sort of thing, would you.

  13. Freckles  •  Aug 10, 2009 @6:03 pm

Folks, there is something to address how stupidly the police can act. There is a question that needs to be made a national discussion. The fact that African American men, especially those between 18 – 35, are targets of police profiling, brutality, and overreaction. As an African American, I understand. Do you?

    Freckles

  14. Floyd Appleton  •  Aug 10, 2009 @6:06 pm

Obama could have cited the way the media blew past the attack of 3 Black men by 15 police officers in Philadelphia, or the way the media ignored the cause of the riots in Oakland, or how they failed to even hint at the potential guilt of officers in the California, Texas, and Louisiana cases. Which says noting of the abuses that have occurred in New York, New Jersey, South Carolina, and a dozen other places just in the past couple of years. And the trail of abuse can be seen clearly going back as far as Rodney King. Not that it didn’t happen before then. It just wasn’t reported, and there was no Youtube to press the issue. The assault on the blackman has only just begun.

  15. Willie Washington  •  Aug 10, 2009 @6:08 pm

President Obama has taken a hit in his approval rating because of the Professor Gates arrest (roughly 2 – 7 points) all because he had the balls to take a stand. He is being mocked by comedians about the beerfest that will replace an apology. He has angered police departments across the nation. And he is being called a racist. I do not see too many white people taking a stand against racism. Are they racist as they say President Obama is?

    Willie Washington

  16. Betty Hamilton  •  Aug 10, 2009 @6:09 pm

Seriously, George, a beer is supposed to wipe away racial profiling? A casual chat with the President will alter police departments across the country from a predisposition to react violently towards African Americans (including in one study the finding that police would more quickly and likely shoot an armed or unarmed African American than any other group)? Is this really the best President Obama can do on a subject that this nation needs to address desperately, even as it vehemently hides its head in the sand to avoid.

    Betty Hamilton

  17. Maddie  •  Aug 10, 2009 @6:12 pm

Honestly George, I expected little better from President Obama. It’s one of the many reasons I did not vote for him. But the little I have expected from the President seems to have been far too much to expect. Which makes the future of race relations seem moribund since the way he is screwing up so many other things as you have mentioned, another chance may not come for decades, if ever again.

  18. Nonchalant  •  Aug 10, 2009 @6:15 pm

George, though politicians and commentators talk about the president’s plan, he does not have one. Learning the lessons of “Hillarycare” far too well, Mr Obama has set out broad goals for reform and some principles to guide the design, but no more. This self-imposed distance is bad both substantively and politically. It is substantively bad because left to its own devices an unguided, disputatious, difference-splitting Congress was bound to make a hash of it. And it is politically bad because the public understands this.

  19. Kate Montgomery  •  Aug 10, 2009 @6:36 pm

Bloggers, there’s been a simple problem of trust. When Obama took office, his poll numbers were impressively high. The same could not be said for his fellow Democrats in Congress. By turning the reform process over to Congress, then, Obama left health-care in the hands of politicians the public does not particularly like or trust.

It may be somewhat unfair to blame Obama for all his “mispokes”, George. He was naive, certainly, but that’s simply the way Washington works: It’s magnetized toward pettiness and politics. But the takeaway, as far as I’m concerned, isn’t, as Obama has continually suggested, that we need better politics or better government; instead, it’s that we need less…and less of him too.

George, Obama’s problem is that he, like other liberals, is convinced that the American people want, nay demand, universal coverage. The problem is, they don’t want it. This is a lesson liberals have to learn for themselves, over and over again, the hard way, by losing. Call this the education of Barak Obama, Chapter 1.
    Write about that.

  26. Alan Vanneman  •  Aug 10, 2009 @6:46 pm

And I want to add, what most Americans want is the coverage they have now, except cheaper and less paperwork. The current system is an absurd, jerrybuilt contraption, but it works, pretty much, for the middle class, the health care industry, and the insurance companies. But any attempt to bring “real change” to the current system will cause it to fall apart.

i read in some of your comments that “many believe that Obama is the final Anti-Christ.”

indeed no american in biblical prophecy is or could be considered THE Anti-Christ. it need be said that in america alone we have well over 300 million anti-christs living on its land.

indeed in the whole world we have about 4 -6 billion Anti-Christ’s.

but reading the book of Daniel and the book of revelation TOGETHER it is understood that the HITLER TYPE or the CHARLAMAGNE type to make his entrance on the world stage–and soon now WILL BE A GERMAN. In the bible the German nation is mentioned as THE ASSYRIAN (German name came from the romans who termed the barbarians north and west of the rhein GERMANI or GARMANI meaning WAR MEN and they happened to be ASSYRIANS also: a race of people in which blondism was a typical trait).
so from a historical stand point: the tendency of the german nation to inflict war on a massive scale , the elimination of certain races the german come into contact with, the devastations of germany after WWI AND II, the increasing trend of EU institutions to mirror themselves after HITLER’s and STRAUSS’S grand design, the further german stranglehold on EU institutions, German national and political upheaval point to a coming CHARLAMAGNE that will make his appearance on the political stage within the coming year. He will be THE POPE’S ROTTWEILER. and he is on the stage right now but he is not out in the open as yet. SEARCH HIM OUT
    you will be amazed.
